- Browsing the hive is free and needs no account.
- Developers can list up to 10 apps for free. Only list apps you own or are allowed to list.
- Sponsor spots cost $199 a month, are sold to businesses only, and can be cancelled at any time. Your spot stays live until the end of the month you paid for.
- Don’t use bots or tricks to inflate stats or buzz. We don’t count what looks automated.
- We may remove listings or sponsor spots that break these rules.
1. About these terms
Bzzly (bzzly.app) is run by Računalniško programiranje, Alexandre Georges Michel Pierre Grisey s.p., a sole proprietorship registered in Slovenia (VAT number SI92114466). In these terms, “we” and “us” means that business, and “you” means anyone who uses Bzzly.
By using Bzzly you agree to these terms. Developers accept them when they list an app, and sponsors when they buy a spot. Our privacy policy explains what personal data we handle and why.
2. Browsing the hive
Anyone can explore the hive, open app pages and follow links to the App Store, Google Play or a developer’s website, for free and without an account.
The apps on Bzzly are made and listed by their developers, not by us. We don’t review apps before they appear, and we aren’t responsible for the apps themselves, the stores that sell them or the websites we link to. Their own terms apply when you download an app or visit a site.
3. Listing your apps
Your account
To list apps you sign in with a Google account or with a link we email you. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your Google account and your email inbox secure: what happens in your Bzzly account is your responsibility.
Free listings
Each developer can list up to 10 apps for free, with an app page, a QR code, tracked links, statistics and a developer page. If we ever charge for something that is free today, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you’ll never pay for anything you haven’t agreed to.
Only your own apps
Only list apps you develop, own or are allowed to list by their owner. The details you enter must be accurate, and your links must lead to the app you describe. We fetch the icon, rating, screenshots and other store details from the App Store and Google Play automatically.
If someone has listed your app without your permission, email pro@alexandre-grisey.fr and we’ll look into it.
Managing your listings
You can edit, hide, disable or delete your apps at any time from your dashboard. Deleting an app removes its page, links and statistics right away.
4. Statistics, App of the Day and buzz
- Statistics count interactions with your listing: card opens, page views, link clicks and QR scans. They are not installs or unique visitors. We leave out bots and limit how much one network can add, so some interactions aren’t counted. Treat the figures as estimates.
- App of the Day is picked at random every day from the apps in the hive. It can’t be bought, and we don’t promise that any app will be picked.
- Buzz votes are limited per browser and per network. We may ignore votes we believe are manipulated, and take an app out of the trending list or the hive if its developer tries to game it.
5. Sponsor spots
What you get
A sponsor spot is one of 6 purple cells in the hive, always labeled as sponsored. It shows the name, logo, message and link you choose, and opens your link when visitors tap it. We add UTM tags to your link when it has none, so you can count the visits in your own analytics. We don’t promise a number of views, taps or visits.
For businesses only
Sponsor spots are advertising, sold only to businesses and to people acting for their trade, business or profession. By buying one, you confirm that you buy it in that capacity. The 14-day right of withdrawal that EU law gives consumers therefore doesn’t apply.
Price, billing and tax
A sponsor spot costs $199 (US dollars) a month, including any sales tax or VAT. It is a subscription: you pay for each month in advance, and it renews automatically every month until you cancel.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Sponsor spots are sold through Link, Stripe’s reseller service, which charges the price, takes care of sales tax and VAT, sends your receipts and handles payment disputes, under its own terms. Your card statement shows a charge from Link.
We may change the price for future months. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your spot, so you can cancel before it does.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your spot’s setup page (the page Stripe sent you to after paying) or from Stripe’s billing portal. Your spot stays live until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and then leaves the hive. We don’t refund part-months when you cancel.
Your spot’s details
Right after paying, you add your spot’s name, logo, message and link, and it goes live at once, without a review. After that, email us to change them and we’ll make reasonable changes within a few working days. Your spot must follow the content rules in section 6.
When we remove a spot
We may remove a sponsor spot and end its subscription immediately if it breaks these terms, for example if its content breaks the content rules, or its link stops working or leads somewhere other than what the spot describes. In that case we don’t refund the current month, unless the law requires it.
If we remove a spot for any other reason, or stop offering sponsor spots, we refund the unused part of the current month. We may also change the design of the hive. If a change makes sponsor spots much less visible, you may cancel and we’ll refund the unused part of the current month.
6. Content rules
App listings, developer pages and sponsor spots must be lawful, accurate and yours to publish. They must not:
- infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights, or pretend to be someone else;
- be misleading about what is offered, its price or who offers it;
- link to malware, phishing, or pages that differ from what the listing or spot describes;
- show or promote sexual content, hate, harassment, violence, or anything illegal;
- for sponsor spots, promote gambling, weapons, drugs, tobacco or vaping products, political parties or campaigns, or financial products that promise returns, including crypto investment and trading schemes.
We may refuse, hide or remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close the accounts behind it. To report something, email pro@alexandre-grisey.fr.
7. Fair use
Please don’t:
- inflate statistics or buzz with scripts, bots, paid clicks, or rewards for interacting;
- send more requests than normal use needs, or try to get around our limits or security;
- disrupt Bzzly or use it to harm others.
Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read our public pages, as set out in robots.txt.
8. Rights to content
You keep the rights to everything you publish on Bzzly. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, show, copy and adapt it (for example resize a logo or shorten a description) on Bzzly and in its feeds and markdown pages, and to show it when we promote Bzzly, for example in a screenshot of the hive on social media. The licence lasts while your content is published, and for posts we’ve already made after that. The same applies to the store details we fetch for your app. You confirm that you have the rights needed to give us this licence.
The Bzzly name, design and code belong to us. App names, icons and logos belong to their owners.
9. Availability
We work to keep Bzzly online and accurate, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. We may change, pause or end any part of it. If we stop offering sponsor spots, section 5 explains your refund.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury. If you use Bzzly as a consumer, you keep every right consumer law gives you.
Otherwise, we aren’t liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. Our total liability to a sponsor is limited to what they paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Since listing apps and browsing are free, our total liability to developers and visitors is limited to 100 euros.
If a claim against us arises from content you published on Bzzly, you agree to cover the costs it causes us.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using Bzzly at any time. Delete your apps from your dashboard, and to close your account and delete everything linked to it, email us. Sponsors end their spot by cancelling it (section 5).
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
12. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects developers or sponsors in an important way, we’ll email them at least 30 days before it applies; sponsors can cancel before then. Using Bzzly after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia, and the competent courts of Slovenia settle disputes. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. If something goes wrong, please write to us first: most problems are quicker to solve by email.
14. Contact
